I was born in the small southern city of Beaufort, South Carolina. My parents were educators and while young lived in many interesting locales though out the deep south from Florida to North Carolina.
During my college years, at Wofford College, I had the opportunity to travel to New England where I learned to enjoy winter hiking, ice climbing and skiing.
After college I began working at Sugar Mountain Ski Resort in North Carolina. This is where I met my wife, Robin.
Robin and I became certified instructors and later became co- directors of the ski school at Beech Mountain Resort in North Carolina. Robin headed up the SKIwee children's ski school and daycare while I managed the ski school. For several seasons we led up a team of at least 50 instructors with lessons offered from 9am to 8pm each and every day.
While attending a ski instructor workshop I discovered Okemo. Robin and I both fell in love with Ludlow finding it to be the perfect blend of real town and ski town.
We moved to Ludlow in 1983 and worked at Okemo Mountain. Robin was the director of the SKIwee children's ski school and I was a ski school supervisor. I still maintain my Professional Ski Instructors Of America Level 3 certification.
When our two daughters were born, we settled in to our home in Mount Holly. I needed to expand my professional horizons and being self-motivated, liking the outdoors and relating well to people. Real Estate was a great career opportunity for me.
Now after nearly 20 years in the business I have enjoyed great success. I still love the Okemo Valley area, my home and being in real estate. I'm proud of Kelley Real Estate and all we have accomplished as a team since my ownership began in 1998.
